Chapters

OK, I'm trying to edit a 350 page book in about a week. Let me give you this advice when it comes to editing your stuff; write some long chapters if you want to save time.

I used a lot of short chapters, so I have to go through all my editing steps every 3-6 pages. The material will be very focused, though.

I've cut off more than 1000 words I didn't need in sentences.

Gotta go. I'll probably be up till 3 and awake at 5 again...

Jamin: Haven't said anything for a long time. BUT nevertheless we do pray for you and your writing.

I am generally awake by 4am and often think of you then.

We love reading you stuff! Congrats on things you have gotten published and especially on the recent newspaper stuff.

God is Good!

Dude, you can't exist on 2 hours of sleep. Especially if you work around machinery or drive. Be careful out there!

Good luck on the book,
Debbie

Thanks Grandma.

I'm going to have to take a picture when this is all over, Debbie.

Yipes, that's a busy schedule. And, although I haven't been here for a while, yes, I do make word mix-ups, but it's really helpful to have someone else looking over your writing to watch for gramatical errors.

My chapters are generaly 10 Word pages long, averaging roughly 5000 words each. I'm betting that I could get 1000 words at least out of unnesisary words, but I doubt I'll be able to do it in a week!

I'm praying for you right now. I admire your dedication... I'm not sure I could even pretend to be alive on two hours of sleep with much of the day spent editing. I'm editing a book that a friend of mine and my sister and I wrote a while back and it's been grueling (with sleep!) Adverbs killed the writing. It was dead, so now I'm trying my very best to resuscitate it.
Again, my prayers are with you,
Catey

Dude. I have a hard time getting up in the morning at 8! How in the world do you live on TWO HOURS OF SLEEP?
Good luck in editing your book!

PS. How did you get the video at the top of your blog? I didn't see that option in the 'format' section. Thanks!

I had to increase the hours I sleep. Now I get about 4.

To get a Youtube video on your blog, you go to Youtube, find your video. Somewhere on the screen there will be a code. Copy that.

Then go to your blog, hit Customize, then Layout. There will be some tabs that say Add a Page Element.

Hit that.

A list of options will pop up, one of which will be Html/JavaScript. Click it.

Now all you do is paste the stuff from Youtube into the space provided.
