Reel Teen Faith is looking for staff writers. It doesn't pay, but it's still a great opportunity to reach a wide audience with your message. I thought of you guys when I received this e-mail from Suzie Eller.

I will be developing a new roster of Real Teen Faith Writers for the next
six months.

I'd love to know if you are interested. All that is required is one devo/lyric/poem/music or book or movie review (your choice) per month.

Everything that is on RTF considers the audience. We have around 3,000 to 4,000 unique hits per month from teens all over the world. Many don't know Christ, so they don't recognize church lingo, but they are spiritually hungry for truth, so we keep our audience in mind when writing content.

The vision for RTF is to show Jesus in a relevant way to teens. : )

If you know of a teen, who is a great writer, who may be
interested, let me know.

If you have been writing and want to step down, let me know. : ) I appreciate SO much what you have done. It truly ministers around the world. Yesterday we had 144 visitors and 244 hits.

One devo ministers to those visitors, but it keeps on ministering because people cruise the site, and read older content. (That's why we had 144 visitors, but an additional 100 hits. They were reading content that related to them -- whether about dating, faith, etc.)

Publishing Opportunitie

I'm always looking for places to publish out there, and I think I found a pretty good spot. MindFlights is online and print magazine that prints fantasy, sci-fi, poetry, interviews, and essays. They also have forums and a good size archive of their work so you can familiarize yourself with their material.

I've already submitted something, and they almost spoon feed the process to you the whole time! It couldn't be easier, though there're a few details that can make you look like an amateur if not done right. They're open to students, and they pay at least $5 and at the most $25. It's a credential for bigger things, however.

Here's what they have to say about themselves.

MindFlights is a magazine for fans of fantasy and science fiction. What you submit to us must be speculative. It can't just be flavored with the speculative. There must be a real speculative element at its core, the big "What if?" that takes us out of the real world and into the astonishing one of imagination. Any speculative subgenre is welcome--space opera, steampunk, urban fantasy, high fantasy, fable, fairy tale, historical fantasy, sword and sorcery, hard science fiction, magical realism, etc-- as long as it offers us something vivid, fresh, and well-crafted, and as long as it is compatible with Christian principles and traditional values.

Their website is linked to the right. Enjoy!
