Ouch.
Apparently I did pretty good this year by the government's standards. First, let me say I've been working the whole time and made pretty good. I was hoping to get all my federally withheld money since I'm single and a bunch of other stuff that should have been in my favor.
So much for that.
I was getting about $800 back.
Oh, you HAVE to file as a dependant.
You get about $300.
You received the Alaska PFD? That's considered income so you're taxed for that.
You're down to receiving $6.
Your dad makes how much? Wow, not bad.
You may know pay the government $358 in addition to the $800 they've withheld.
Here's a picture of me sending the check away. Yes, I'm smiling. I figure this ought to make someone happy, somewhere. :)

I can see why you're so excited to get that much money back. That is a lot of money. I can imagine what I'd do with it. xD
SA
Double Ouch!
"Going Through the Motions" is one of my newest favorite songs! It has a great message about getting out of the same old pattern of everyday life and putting out your all to praise God!
Well, I can console myself with the fact that I sold a bunch of my stuff in a garage sale and made close to what I had to pay in taxes. :)
Erin, I agree! Welcome to my blog.
I can safely say it was more painful for us than you. ::grin::
