It's always a treat when my boss isn't busy and has time to think. He comes up with some of the funniest stuff!
He decided today that America is starting to resemble Soviet Russia. Each one of us will be assigned a job in which we will "volunteer" our services for a certain amount of time.
He called me over from whatever I was doing as he and one of my coworkers were talking.
"Comrade Goecker!" He said as he leaned back in his chair, "You've been volunteered to pick cotton!"
I grinned. "I hear they make pretty good money during harvest time."
"Would you just play along?"
The short and sweet is that he believes he and I will be assigned to harvest cotton because we're so loud. Me? Loud? I hadn't thought so.
Y'all see me pickin' cotton? :)

Um...not really no...but that's funny.
I could see it only if you were wearing that beat-up hat you found the other day.
Oh my... Your boss sounds fun. And, um... I agree with Natalie. If you pick cotton, you must wear the hat.
By the way, this is Catey (Sister Warrior) who has returned from the dead to leave a comment on your site. I've read all your recent posts; I just haven't found time to write up a comment. Sorry.
Sparks of illumination,
C.
Alright, I'll take the hat along if I try it sometime. :)
Catey! OK. I was trying to remember if I'd met you before.
