Look Up the Words You Use

While going over my work, I decided to check a few words out just to make sure they fit the context I was using them in.

Yikes.

Apparently there's a difference between "peal" and "peel" and "trotted" and "trod." I'll likely look up a lot more of the words I use now. I also discovered the word sidled means to literally walk up to someone, going sideways.

Am I the only to have this happen?

That's funny. I hate it when people use words out of context, but then again, I can't complain too much. I do it too, sometimes! lol!

I do it alot.
And then I go back and read it later and can't find out what I was talking about.

It's kind of like a play with a poet. A girl asked the poet (Browning) what he meant by a line in his writing, and he said, "When I wrote that, only God and Browning knew what that meant. Now, only God knows what that means."
