Published!

I interviewed my dad a little while ago wrote a profile for him. We both sent in articles to the Message, a denominational magazine, and they accepted mine! Dad's will be posted on their website. Everything would be pretty good, except I sent back a more edited version, without the attachment. So now the editor has two emails from me. How professional! Oh well.

Here's her letter,

Wow, both articles are good. I hadn't thought about it but it would be
great to hear from the son of a chaplain. We've never gotten to do that. And I
love the interview style he used. How old is he? Of course we would
still reserve the right to edit.

What I would love to do is use Jamin's article, edited, but maybe add in
the paragraph about your wife. I would certainly be willing to show you the
edited version. What do you think? Maybe combine them a bit but have it
authored by him?

If we use his, I would also need a picture of him and a brief bio as
well, including his age and maybe his school. We would still include yours as
well.

Let me know. I think people would love hearing from Jamin. Nothing can
make tears come to my eyes faster than on the news when they show children
either saying goodbye or hello to their deployed parents.
